Ministries of Soul Harvest Church

Children's Ministry:

We have an active children's program that is focused on teaching children God's Word while
having fun. Our ministry currently ranges from ages 4 -11. We have many special events
specifically for the children with our biggest event being Fallfest, a Halloween alternative.
To accommodate our fast-growing children's ministry, we have recently added a 900 square
foot facility to more effectively teach the children while having a wonderful time.

We use only qualified instructors with a clean background. We have the children stay in the
main sanctuary during praise and worship giving families the opportunity to worship together.
After praise and worship, we dismiss the children to their classrooms.

When coming to church for the first time children may or may not be comfortable leaving
their parents. This is normal and they are welcome to remain in the sanctuary for the message.
We will make every effort to accommodate your children and make church fun for them.

Nursery and Toddlers:

We have a nursery and toddler room in the rear of the sanctuary. The nursery and toddler room is fully staffed by trained volunteers who will love and care for your baby.

Youth Ministry:

Our favorite scripture for the teens is 1 Timothy 4:12--Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young; but be an example
to the believers in speech, life, love, faith, and in purity. (NIV)

At Soul Harvest Church, we believe we are called to raise the standard for youth ministry. David was 16 when he slew Goliath.
Josiah was 8 when he chose to do what was right. Samuel was 12 when he heard the voice of God. We believe the teenagers of
today's times are just as capable of being used by God.

We have teen nights the 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month. We are taking a teen missions trip to Jamaica and attending a teen
camp in 2010. We host teen activities and fellowships on a regular basis. See the church calendar for details.

Men's Ministry:

Soul Harvest Church will host 4 men's events in 2010 including 2 conferences with well known speakers and 2 fellowship events to encourage relationships.

The purpose of Soul Harvest Church Men's Ministry is to:
        1. Deal with unique issues to men
        2. Build relationships among the men
        3. Help men to understand that becoming Christ-like does not mean giving up their
            manhood

Missions:

Soul Harvest Church actively supports missions to Mexico, Jamaica, Romania, The Ukraine, and beyond. We have invested in an orphanage in Mexico by giving Christmas gifts to all the children and paying for much needed supplies.

Our next missions trip is in July of 2010 to Jamaica, and more are planned for the future.

Monthly Birthday Fellowships:

Every month there is a birthday party for anyone with a birthday or anniversary that month. (adults only) This ministry helps
build relationships and strengthen the church body.

Marriage and Family Ministry:

Soul Harvest Church consistently teaches on marriage and Family. Our ministries in
2010 include:
          1. Marriage Seminar February 15-18 where we will be teaching practical ways to
              get the most out of being married.
          2. Parenting Nights - We have 6 teaching nights scheduled for 2010 with the theme:
              Raising Positive Kids in a Negative World. We will be ministering practical
               application from the Bible to help raise children and teens in a tough society.
          3. Marriage & Pre-Marriage Counseling - We will be offering counseling to
              anyone experiencing trouble in marriage to help them restore love and joy to
              their homes.

We also want to meet with engaged couples to give them practical ways to start their marriage off correctly with topics including finances, communication, in-laws, spiritual equality, and intimacy.

Women's Ministry:

Soul Harvest Church will host 4 ladies events in 2010. These events will include guest speakers, food, and lots of fellowship. We will be taking a trip to St. Louis on Sep. 16-18 for the Joyce Meyer Women's Conference.

The purpose of Soul Harvest Church Women's Ministry is to:
        1. Deal with issues unique to women
        2. Build relationships among the women
        3. Help women to effectively manage the unique roles they play in life as a Christian

Heath & Healing School

We run 3 sets of 6 week classes through the year on Monday nights from 7-8:15. These classes will teach what the Bible says about
our physical bodies both from the natural and the spiritual perspectives.

We take time to pray for any physical needs during these sessions with the expectation of getting healthier and even receiving
miracles. Anyone is welcome to attend these classes. See the calendar for specific dates.

Ushers:

Soul Harvest Church ushers are utilized to bring about excellence into each and every service by helping people get from the parking
lot to the pew.

Visitor Connect:

We have carry-in dinners 6 times per year for anyone who has visited the church recently and would like to get to know the pastor
or ask any questions about the church. One of the greatest obstacles people face when starting to attend a new church is feeling like
they fit in. These fellowships will help determine whether Soul Harvest Church is for you and to become part of the family!

Fellowship:

The church sponsors regular fellowship meetings including dinners, cookouts, and get-togethers. See the church calendar for details.

We currently have group meetings, fellowships, and Bible studies covering different times and topics throughout the year. Please
call or email the church office for times, locations, and topics.

Upcoming:

Soul Harvest Church is a growing church and we continually seek ways to impact our congregation and community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
